Gravity...

Today, there will be many deep breaths taken.

Emotionally, I will probably be an utter wreck.

I apologize in advance if I am not myself today.

Kitten!

There is a little orange and white kitten stranded in the outside garden deptartment of our store. It is sooo damn adorable. Me and Jenny heard it meowing and spent about 35 minutes trying to catch it. But it hid inside a pile of bricks and we just couldn't reach it. Hopefully it'll be okay there and no one will bother it if it comes out. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since we've seen it.

If someone does catch it during the day, I hope it doesn't end up exterminated (our store does that shit, sadly). I'm really hoping that either me or Jenny catches it because we both love cats and will take good care of it.

Aww, it's sooo cute. I really wish I'd have gotten a picture of it. You'd have all died of cuteness-overload. :)

Somewhat dismayed...

It's Friday night and I'm here at home sick. I called in around 6:30-ish or so to let my bosses know I wasn't coming in. I have sick time, so all should be good, right?

Well...

A little less than an hour ago, I get a text from my supervisor telling me, "Thanks for fucking us." Hmmm. Now, we of the notorious night crew do have a sick sense of humor and sarcasm with eachother, and this could have been him fucking around with me I thought. But my intuition was telling me otherwise. So, I offered to come in late and help him out if they really needed me there. I told him I'd be sniffly, achey and miserable all night, but I'd go in. But alas, he said no, that it was cool and that they would survive. Okay fine. But now I can't seem to get my head out of the thought that I'm somehow in hot water with my superiors... EVEN THOUGH I do have sick time to cover myself.

I dunno. I know that tonight was expected to be a crazy night for freight and that we were going to be missing at least one person already, but I seriously didn't plan on being sick. And yes, coincidently, it is Fiesta Night here in Patterson, but that's NOT what's going on with me. I'm not out on the town somewhere partying it up. I'm here at home, motherfuckers... IN PAIN. I'd gladly trade places for a night with someone who isn't feeling like this. I hate being sick.

Anyway, like I said, my guts are telling me that they're not too happy with me right now for bailing on work tonight. And from this point on, I'm probably going to have to be very wary and very careful. Because I have that feeling that I've stepped in it now. And so has Mark. I'm his ride both to and from work and whenever I'm gone, he's gone. And I am seriously starting to think that he is never going to get himself a car (and he NEEDS to). What is going to happen when I take my vacation in a few weeks? I seriously doubt they will let us both off at the sametime. They just don't do that there.

Meh. Stress. I'm just going to lay back down.

A Cold Earth

Why are people cruel?

I really don't know. I try so hard to be nice to others, but it isn't always returned. I never give reasons for people to treat me bad, but it happens anyway. What am I doing wrong? What kind of impression do I give off that makes people think it's okay to be mean to me?

Aw well...

Happy Birthday Rachel. I don't know where you are or how you're doing, but if you ever happen to read this, I hope your day is good. :)

It's a slow night, folks. Work is light, the movie tonight is boring and retarded (we're watching Black Xmas, by the way) and I'm in terrible pain. Yes PAIN. A week ago I was grabbing a hot bowl of Chilli at Wendy's and I fricken burned my mouth to shit. ARG. The section of my tongue that was burned turned into a nasty canker sore and GAWD, it is killing me! I'm doing my best to cope with it, but it hasn't been easy. I've been talking with a wicked lisp for the past 5 days now and simple things like, oh, I dunno, eating and brushing my teeth are now difficult tasks. Stupid effing Wendy's cooks. :(

Summer's getting close. The plan this year is to workout ahain (since stupid WoW knocked me off the wagon) and to figure out what to do with my vacation time this year. I've got 2 weeks of playtime to either spend or save up. What to do, what to do. I kinda wanna spend it right away and just go do something somewhere. I know once all that summer heat comes in I'm not going to want to be here. But if I can last until at least November, then 2 weeks vacation will turn into 4 weeks. That's a whole month of playtime!

Decisions, decisions. I guess we'll see.

This weekend I'm thinking of taking a trip into SF for some new clothes. I really need some summer wear (and jeans that I can mutilate and get all artistic with). Plus, I haven't seen Damon in a while either, so maybe I'll call him up and see if he feels like putting up with me for the weekend. He's getting a black Xbox soon, so MAYBE I can talk him into selling me his old one. :D

It's almost lunch time and I'm hungry for food. I must make a food run before implodage ensues.

More later...

300

I just got home from watching the movie 300 with some co-workers. It was really good, but I think I liked Sin City much better. I dunno... I just kinda expected more from 300 than it actually delivered. One thing that Jenny was quick to point out was that there were lots and lots of shirtless men and butt-cheek shots. Haha, yeah!

It was alot of fun being with some of my co-workers "off the job" for once. But at the sametime, it was kind of awkward. I've never seen any of them outside of work before until tonight. And as a result, I sort of slipped into a little bit of a social coma as the night went on (gah). Sucky, I know. But underneath all my silence and shyness and crap, I really did have lots of fun. Supa Dave introduced us to his monkey-boo (girlfriend) and Jenny was dressed sooo pretty that everytime I would look at her, I'd start going "Awwww" in my head. :) Other Dave (or manager Dave) was there too and we ate food and almost went bowling afterwards. But alas, it got too late.

But like I said, it was still alot of fun. :)

Yes folks, it is TOTALLY POSSIBLE to rub me the wrong way and make me agitated for an entire morning. Christ, I haven't even slept yet.

It's times like these that I like to think of the movie DUNE and all the scenes with the heart-plugs. >:D

"It's dangerous to go alone..."

There are nights when I feel like fire-bombing my job. Good thing I have amazing self-control.

Leo (the new guy) asked me a very odd question though: "What's your favorite Tom Cruise movie, Noe?"

I don't know why that amused me so much. Probably because he was totally serious about the question. Maybe he's really hardcore into movies and actors/actresses or something. It was really hard for me to keep a straight face when he asked. Anyway, my answer was Interview With The Vampire. He said that didn't count because Brad Pitt was more of the main character than Tom was. Be that as it may, Interview is the only movie I like Tom Cruise in at all.

By the way, remember waaaay back when I started playing World Of Warcraft but kinda drifted away from the game after a few levels? Well, I started playing again around the beginning of December with stardustpurple and got hooked... BADLY. My then pitiful little Hunter went from level 14 to level 63. Cygnus (my Hunter) is now a treacherous ball of uberness and kills horde players dead on sight! He's also the main reason I've been slacking so badly on my Live Journal, hehe.

Hey, I love video games. Sorry. :)

Shifting and drifting...

God, I'm sore today. I think I may have over done it this weekend with some of my activities. All my muscles in my body are hurting. My arms, legs, chest and stomach, even my butt hurts. I don't think there's a single muscle in my body that doesn't feel sore right now.

Saturday I spent the day making a HUGE pile of firewood out in the backyard (which fell apart several times and had me starting over). And then Sunday night I went bowling with George, JC and his girlfriend in Modesto for an entire night. Toss in a heavy duty garage cleaning and a couple hours of working out for both days and you get one sore-ass body. Arg. Bowling was alot of fun though. We've decided we're going to go every Sunday night from here on out. If I really start getting into it, I may have a pair of custom bowling balls made: One of the Moon and the other of the Earth. :D

Last night at work was really hard since Mark didn't show up. Jenny and I wound up having to abandon our pack-down duties to work all his freight (which sucked because he got slammed with stuff, but hey, what can you do?). During our break, Jenny and I were tossing around the idea of maybe taking a photography class together. She's really starting to take an interest in it now that she actually owns a camera and can't stop snapping pictures of things with it. I think she'd be really good if she actually decides to do it, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Jenny has a nasty habit of changing her mind about things quickly. But, if she actually goes through with it, I'll more than likely do it with her.

Weather wise, we're finally starting to get some rain here in the valley. A wonderful break from the terrible heat of this past summer. I love how you can smell the "clean" of everything when you go outside now. It's already putting me in the mood to draw and write. I've done a truckload of scribbles now for deviantART, but I'm being overly picky about which ones I wanna upload. Recently I've done several different character scribbles based on haleyluna. I'm trying to settle on which one I wanna stick with. That's the way it works with me and characters made from real people. I have to draw them over and over again exaggerating different things before I can come up with something that truly reflects a familiar likeness (and Haley just happens to have alot of neat things about her worth exaggerating, haha). I've also done a collage of my co-workers as animals they remind me of. And I have another idea to re-creative some of my real friends here as super heros and super villains. Hehe. Yeah, it's fun being a nerd. Imagination rules! :}

On a completely separate note, as of today, I've gained 14 and a half pounds since returning from Hawaii in June, thanks to a steady workout plan and better eating habits. I can finally look at myself in the mirror now without seeing a frail, tired looking boy staring back at me. It's working... This and everything else I saw wrong with myself. It's all getting fixed. Slowly, but surely... :}

Time capsule

I just woke up from the neatest dream.

I was dreaming that I was going back in time walking through my old elementary school. It was weird because every time I went somewhere I used to play or hangout at, I would see myself there hanging out with old friends and doing all the things we used to do. It was like seeing a rewind of my life. It got so interesting that I started wondering through the rest of the school just so that I could see what other places I could remember and what else I used to do. And it was funny because I saw alot of familiar faces that I could never remember now, but yet, I recalled them easily in my dream. It was really neat. Listening to myself talk was funny. I had a really intresting vocabulary when I was kid. And hearing again was almost comical. I kept saying to myself in the dream, "Geez, did I really used to say that? God, what a dork". Hehe.

Damon was in the dream too drawing comics and asking me for paper. Danny and Richard were in the Pine Cone trees throwing them at cars driving by while I was at the bottom of the trees playing with popsicle sticks. Gawd, haha. Somewhere in the school yard is a buried wooden box full of playboy pictures stolen from Richard's Dad. We even drew a map to find it again. I wonder if it's still there or if anyone else ever found it? :}

The part of the dream that woke me up though was remembering a fight I got into near the boys bathroom. Seeing the spraypaint on the walls is what triggered it. I didn't know the names, but I remember the faces inside taunting me and calling out names. I saw myself trying to ignore them until one of them hit me with a rock. That's when I woke up.

I can't quite recall the other things that happened in the dream now, so I'm writing down what I can remember before it fades. It's weird how I can easily remember the dreams that have no point or make little sense, but when I have a special dream like this one, it fades quickly unless I jot it down somewhere. Not fair. :}

But anyway, I need to shower and do a little shopping. Gavin and Matt are off to Tahiti for 10 days to attend a Hula Camp with their teacher, meaning Rikk and I have the house all to ourselves until then. Perfect time to clean up while they are gone.
